Handicrafts represent the artistic soul of our country. For more than 3000 years, Peruvians have stood out among their contemporaries for a unique, stylized representation of landscapes, wildlife and descriptions of their daily lives. With regional and even local variations, handicraft production has been an important method of expression for the creative spirit of the country.

MINKA FAIR TRADE was created to help Peruvian artisans in reviving and preserving ancient culture; bringing it from hidden places in the Peruvian Andes, where the most spectacular ways to live in harmony with nature have been preserved by these skillful people.

The products presented here are a selected sample of the craftsmanship created by organizations all over Peru which are supported by MINKA. The variety of products offered by MINKA spans from alpaca textiles to exquisite ceramics, all of them handmade in an environmentally friendly and traditional way, using pure raw materials without chemicals and fertilizers, like it has always been.
